Roof repairs
Leaks, slipped tiles, failed flashings and storm damage. We find the actual cause, photograph it, and price the repair as a fixed figure.
A leak is a symptom, not a diagnosis
Water rarely enters where it appears. It runs down a rafter, along a batten, and drops through the ceiling several feet from the defect. Patching the stain achieves nothing.
We trace it back (chimney flashing, valley, verge, a cracked tile, a blocked gutter, or condensation that was never a leak at all) and repair the cause.
What we repair
- Slipped, cracked and missing tiles or slates
- Ridge and hip tiles, re-bedding and dry ridge systems
- Valley failures and lead valley replacement
- Chimney flashing, stepped flashing and back gutters
- Roof timber and rafter repairs where decay has set in
- Storm and wind damage, including temporary covering
Where the fault is in the flashings or gutters, see leadwork and guttering. Where a roof has been patched too many times to be worth repairing again, see re-roofing.

Questions
Common questions
Yes. We can support you through an insurance claim relating to roof damage or repair.
Yes. We run a 24/7 emergency roof repair service and can provide a temporary fix the same day. Call us on 07469 856075 and we will respond as quickly as possible.
Not always. Ceiling stains are just as often a failed flashing, a blocked gutter overflowing behind a fascia, or condensation in the loft. Water also travels along a rafter before it drops, so the stain is frequently nowhere near the entry point. That is why we survey rather than guess.
It depends on what the survey finds. If the covering is sound and the battens and timbers are in good order, a repair is the right answer and we will say so. If the same roof has been patched repeatedly and the battens are failing, repairs stop being economic and we will show you why in the photographs.
