General Building
Landscaping
Decking, pergolas, paving and front gardens, built on a frame and base that will still be level in ten years.
An outdoor space you will love, built properly from the ground up
Your garden should be somewhere you want to spend time, not something you need to keep fixing. That is why we build the parts you cannot see as carefully as the parts you can: solid frames, proper footings and a well-prepared base, so your deck stays firm, your pergola stays straight and your patio stays level. And because we are a full building company, the brickwork, steps and carpentry are all done by the same team.
Services we offer
- Timber decking on a treated, properly sized frame
- Pergolas and covered seating areas
- Balustrades, handrails and steps
- Paving, patios and front garden paths
- Planting beds, edging and dwarf walls
- Bin stores and garden joinery
- Fence repair and replacement
Decking should sit clear of the house damp-proof course, with a gap for drainage. A deck built up against the wall above the DPC is one of the most common causes of damp we find inside ground floor rooms.

Common questions
Pressure-treated softwood as standard, for the frame and the boards. Hardwood and composite boards are available if you prefer them, and the choice is set out in the quotation.
Usually not, but a deck more than 30cm above the ground, or one on a listed building or in a conservation area, can need it. We check at survey and tell you if it applies.
Yes. The pergola posts are set as part of the deck frame, so the two are built together rather than one being fixed to the other afterwards.
Yes. Paths, patios and front gardens are laid on a compacted sub-base to a fall, with edging, planting beds and bin stores built as part of the same job.
